Nice artiicle by the way. A question though. There doesn't appear to have been a singles release, but I am thinking this song was on AM radio Summer, 1965. I was in Colorado, and I could swear Denver station KIMN was playing this. Am radio wasn't playing album cuts in this era, were they?

    My family and I saw it on the way to a party around 8:15 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. It started out in the southern sky as a light (kind of low in the sky, that’s why it caught my eye) and as it passed by us, it was a silver orb with a beautiful tail that was red, blue, green and yellow. It was mesmerizing. Then, it flew a few more seconds and disappeared into the northern part of the sky. It was the strangest, most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.

I have the health history of all previous relatives I have been able to locate. I know that doesn’t sound too unusual possibly but, I was adopted and because of health problems I had to try to locate my birth family and I was extremely fortunate (lucky even) that I accomplished that task in just 4 days. The health history I have is from all I was able to get from my newly located birth family that my own doctor needed to have. Other than that, everything else is fairly normal I’d say, including my tape measure that I carry which I got from my Husqvarna store since it’s really a ‘sewing’ notion used quite often while shopping. Funny I got through years without having a tape measure in my purse yet since getting this one I have used it a lot. lol

Yesterday I woke to water in the basement since the sump pump decided it had seen better days (well, it was 26 years old after all!)… so sorting and pitching wet stuff and changing out the sump pump for a newer model took priority. The same day as graduation is confirmation at church so I (in sore need ot some fabric fondling time) made a zippered cover for the new Bible I am giving to the young lady I am mentoring. I am invited to a wedding shower tomorrow afternoon and I need to find a gift first. I still need to clean the main floor of the house and actually bake those cookies. I reallllllly want to be making feathered star blocks to help me relax!

Классика конечно всем обязательно. Но я допусти не могу читать Платонова, зато с удовольствием читаю Замятина которого назвали бредом половина класса. А ведь идеи, направление у них одинаковое. Какая разница на основе какого произведения я пойму что такое антиутопия?

    Согласна. Было очень стыдно общаться с иностранцами. Засилие русской классики в общеобразовательной школе удручает. По идее курс предполагает изучение Мировой литературы. А кроме единичных произведений, например, шекспировских "Ромео и Джульеты" и "Гамлета", практически ни с чем и не знакомит. И только в вузе познакомилась с массой литературы не только русских авторов, но и зарубежных. При этом, ознакомление не заняло столько времени как в школе, это произошло буквально за пару месяцев! По моему мнению, реформу образования надо строить именно на насыщении программы, а не на "ужатии" ее какими-то ограничениями.
