ok here is the real truth. It’s nothing but a label used to classify someone. There are however different meanings for the term emo. It started as a genre of music in the 1980′s but later became a style as well. It refers to someone with hair long in the front of there face but it doesn’t have to be in the back. (most of the time black) Skinny jeans are also popular and band shirts. You may hear that we are people who cut ourselves or are always depressed which is nothing but a stereotype because I have never cut and I am happy with my life and the way I am now is just who I fell I am.
