Very good backround, maybe it's the two bar intro that sparked this but to my ears their Hamburg Roadrunner cover is the bedrock on which this tune was built, put another way it's not hard to imagine the rhythm section grinding out Roadrunner and overlaying the elements of Hold Me Tight over that with minimal effort; brings to mind I Saw Her Standing and You Can't Catch Me.

Make any shower more cobafrtomle with an EnergyShower Steam Canopy, fits over your shower or tub to enclose the space, keeps all the heat and steam in. Nice!

I’d actually forgotten you can subscribe to comics through the mail ;-) It’s never seemed like a viable option in Canada, but yeah, sometimes that’s the only option!“Quick! To the Internet!” is going to be my new catchphrase. It’s totally true.

Hey Big Al! You are still kicking! Yes, back in OZ, thought not near Canberra this time. They say it is “freezing” in Melbourne, but it feels pretty mild to me. Say hello to the kangaroos on the hills!

Sorry Scott, I am no – I like throwing darts at twitter, but my interest is not in the platform but the people. It’s like pizza, and that other thing– when its bad… its still pretty damned good

    - I actually think its a little of both: savvy and sleazy. I mean, for them to put both ‘products’ together and think, ‘This is a match made in heaven’, is just another savvy way of advertising. They saw an opportunity and went for it. Sure, small pat on the back for the idea. I can’t say I’m going to run out and buy it. But, I can definitely see young adults seeing it on the shelves when they pop into the grocery store to get a few things to bring to a party. They are more likely to buy it, even for comical purposes, and bring it with them to show their friends. But, that doesn’t mean that I actually agree with this as an ethical and/or moral combination. I still haven’t ‘followed’ Sheen on Twitter yet. I can’t bring myself to do it. Its like the same thing as Brittany Spears, people just love to watch a train wreck. Somehow, I feel as an enabler if I ‘followed’ him.In my opinion, here are two differences with the viewers : 1) You are watching with an empathetic heart, admitting he is sometimes comical, but left questioning who is going to really help him?2) Then there are the others that are watching as they stuff more popcorn in their mouths, sip that cold Coca Cola, and are just anticipating the next free fall drop to see how hard he will splat this time.No matter how intentional he is doing it, he is definitely developing himself as a brand. After all, he is a #Winner.

    - Extra sleazy.I wanted to say that I love the caveat in your last paragraph. We’re not all sold on the sleazy! In fact, as I stated above, I really think that celebrity endorsements are not valid anymore. Especially with [my] generation. I feel like for a Millenial, who has access to social media including sites like Yelp: we are wary of a sales pitch, but we trust others. Part of this is the appeal of “being like everyone else” and without going into a debate on the psychology behind that, let’s just mention that it’s here to stay. The issue is getting people to like it…again, if you choose a viral campaign that will turn a lot of consumers OFF, you lose. Charlie Sheen is funny right now. Sure. Will he be funny in 6 weeks? What if he dies? I can see a purchase of Just Chill one time in the “haha Charlie Sheen endorses this stuff, I’m clever” category, but how long can that last? So the big question is: with celebrities coming and going rapidly from the public eye and the seemingly ADD-like short attention spans of modern consumers, is celebrity endorsement a good move anymore? Does it lead to brand longevity? I don’t think so.
