re: Old Brown ShoeOh man! They're adorable. I made Raya a pair of baby shoes once. It took for.stinkin.ever to complete the pair, they were uncomfortable and she never would wear them. LOL! Shoes are HARD!
First Yoko presence in the studiowhat i find interesting is that this song marks the first known presence (by me, at least) of one Yoko Ono. fascinating pic at bottom of page... http://www.nemsworld.com/beatles/fool/fool.htm

re: Getting BetterI have a great story for fans of Cher. When she played the Manchester UK date of her Farewell Tour, Cher gave a mention to a man named Harry Goodwin who was in the audience. He is a British photogarpher who took many if the now iconic black and white pictures of Sonny & Cher in the 1960′s. The footage of this was also shown on a regional news programme a few days later. At the time, I was working in a music store in Manchester, and a few weeks after the show I spotted Harry in the store.

re: Old Brown ShoeWhoa! You made certain fine points there. Used to looking about them and located a number of persons will consent with the blog. This site is one of the best Ive witnessed in a little while. Your post offers excellent material. We’ve previously been browsing in many different places for info for this sort of stuff. I looked everywhere, I looked in Bing, and that i missed your posting right until today. Honestly, you truly present great articles, really it is actually informative. We’re returning here in the forseeable future.
Spot onDave, this is the second of many of your features I'm sure I will explore. I've always loved this song, and indeed, the whole of the Revolver album. What's not often noted about the album is that it's The Beatles most amazing GUITAR album. Not only are there so many new and great guitar tones employed, but the playing itself is exemplary. This song is one of the major contributors...the interplay between John and George, with one of them hitting the seventh note on the third chord, is marvelous. One final note: when I listen with headphones, I hear "BOB Robert," not "Doc Robert" on the two occasions when "Doctor Robert" is clearly not sung.
Best song, great details.Hello, I would just like to say thank you for compiling this excellent wealth of information on "Run For Your Life", one of my personal favorite Beatles tunes. My folk-rock group, The Oakenblues, are doing a 14 song Beatles cover album and I chose this song to record - this website has proved an indispensable resource in the making of our recording. THANK YOU! Sincerely, Matthew

re: MrSweet! I love the idea for the site (and have added it to my feed) — there are a number of iphone “photo editing” blogs out there, but most focus on iPhone-specific apps that use the built-in camera, not so much bringing in your own photos (from a DSLR or other camera) or just a quick overview of some of the apps, so I look forward to seeing more about what’s out there
Three part harmony & John does both lower and higher harmony on main verseI hear the three part harmonies on the refrains while John does the lead by himself (this was also done on "This Boy"). However, I originally believed that it was John (higher harmony voice) and George (lower harmony voice) on the main verses, and for the bridge Paul (higher harmony voice) and John (lower harmony voice). However, if you listen closer to the recording, John's lower harmony voice is the same throughout the transition from verse throughout the bridge. Therefore, it is John doing both parts in the main verse, and John and Paul on the bridge.
re: re: Key song is inI wasn’t sure at first, but I do think its ok. Often the songs played over the ending credits is the most moving. These aren’t movies that won any awards, but Children of Men and The Advocate were both movies that ended with great songs that stood out to me more than all the other music in the movies.
re: Any GenreThere are so many reasons to love flowers … especially flowers used in paper crafting and scrapbooking. But the obvious reason is they are beautiful and they add beauty to any project. I love using flowers to give a wow element to my cards and scrapbooks. And with all the amazing options and the wide variety of materials used to make flowers today, it is so easy to find flowers to match any design theme. I love touching all the wonderful textures and marveling at all the gorgeous colors. Beauty in nature being transferred to beauty on the page is awesome!
re: Pensacola, FloridaLove It! My kids are crazy about the Brady’s right now! They watch it everyday thanks to the DVR. I love that the parents are still the authority and the children talk nice to each other. Big difference from the shows produced today! and besides all that….the Brady’s are just cool Have a great Thanksgiving! And I’ll be praying for Florida!
re: paulbassfan1The comment above was made by me and I inadverdently put an alias as a title. Nonetheless, the point to be made here on this song is the quality of the vocals at such an early stage of their involvement with EMI, with particular attention to John's fantastic vocal sound...due to cold symptoms? I love Paul's basslines but this song is not exemplary of anything noteworthy or dynamic from a bass perspective. Love this website!
re: re: re: Researcher, WriterHere's why I think people soluhd never mind if a comic isn't updated on time They can go live a life and when they have free time to check it, it'll be a little surprise if it is updated, and if it's not, back to life! This is a wonderful comic, for it's artistic quality and story. If it's not possible for you to put out a page with that beauty and plot then I would rather wait than have it suffer.
re: Every Little ThingWoolley, a drawing later this year for a Windows 8 tlebat would be awesome! Great idea, too. Of course, I'm still excited about the possibility of winning an iPad *and* another year of Plus! (I assume we're still eligible to win a year of Plus if we're already in the middle of a subscription?) Now, I need to find some time and get back to my C# training
Every Little ThingSorry, I just don't hear Paul on the main verse, the way I do on every other dual-sung song they ever did. It's easy to understand how, if John mistakenly gave Paul credit for the song in 1980, that Paul would have adopted it as his own in 1992. The song simply reeks of John. Everything about it is John. And he sings it. And whatever you're saying about the bass drum is nuts. It's timpani.
Date of song"Got To Get You Into My Life’ was one I wrote when I had first been introduced to pot." How can you say that this song was written in March, 1966? They first tried pot in August 1964 in New York with Bob Dylan. Perhaps he finished it up in early 1966 but the song clearly originated much earlier if it coincided with their first pot use.
