MrYou say that the girl who is the subject of the song is "underage" at 17. In a sexual context in the UK, then and now, this isn't the case. The age of consent in Britain is and was 16. Sorry if it seems like I'm picking on a minor point on a brilliantly informative site, but given the hysteria any suggestion of underage sex can generate it's as well to be accurate, and fair. Baby It's YouWhen we first heard this song on our CD remake/remix of the Beatles in mono, we wondered who it was on vocals, as it sounded like none of their other vocals. John having a cold explains the slightly deeper vocal tone that had us thinking there was a mystery singer . Great details on this site --- right down to the time of day and number of takes. Every Little ThingSorry, I just don't hear Paul on the main verse, the way I do on every other dual-sung song they ever did. It's easy to understand how, if John mistakenly gave Paul credit for the song in 1980, that Paul would have adopted it as his own in 1992. The song simply reeks of John. Everything about it is John. And he sings it. And whatever you're saying about the bass drum is nuts. It's timpani.
best song ever writtenI believe it's the best song ever written...it's john's finest tune and lyrics...I don't think even mozart or beethoven ever did something that pretty with such longing,u could just close your eyes and see those foggy streets of 65 London. no wonder why the two were fighting over who should get the credit =)

Day TripperEven if I think is possible that the reason why paul sang lead on Day Tripper verses was because john coulnt reach the notes, my theory is that Paul wrote the melody of the verses. ¿Why? First we have to take in consideration that McCartney considered Day Tripper very much a co-written song, and only gave more credit to Lennon because “he sung the lead” ( what McCartney did´nt rememeber (or least , at the time of his many years from now book, its that he is the lead singer in the verses of the song not John ( maybe Paul later remembered it, and that´s why is he is playing the song his present gigs).
