re: re: Key song is inWillie -”Peaceful Solutions” is the best idea for using the arts to end this war & occupation. Thnaks, Willie.I only hope some one collects and catalogs ALL the “protest songs” written and sung during these traumatic times. Pete Seeger, Woody & Arlo Guthrie, Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, Richie Havens, Leonard Cohen, Phil Ochs, etal are classics which still resonate along with the Dixie Chicks, Melissa Ethridge, the “I’M takin’ my Coiuntry Back” singer (whoae name I can’t recall at the moment).
re: re: re: Ringo's BeatFar as I’m concerned, your update schedule is totally up to you. Just because you’re doing something awesome on the internet, doesn’t give the internet any right to tell you how.I will say, though, that there’s something uniquely thrilling about regular updates in serialized fiction. Having a whole book in front of you is one thing — but having a good book produced and made available on a faithful schedule is something really special. It seems that even the best can’t keep this up for very long, not while maintaining quality, [cf.
re: re: EnergyLittle Captain is my local too! Sunday, James, best coffee in Melbourne.I very, very rlreay watch live television. This is why:1. Whenever I want to watch television, it's because I want to watch something specific. I'm a busy person; I will not organise my life around a pre-recorded show that's screened at an arbitrary time (not to mention late or bumped).2. Most of what I watch is foreign. If I wait (or hope) for a local screening, the internet will spoil it for me first. That is not an acceptable option in 2011.
re: re: EnergyDifferent isn’t always better. Even if Cuil had come out of the blue with no presss, they would be hard-pressed to prove they’re better than Lycos, Webcrawler, or any of a dozen SE’s in the ‘B’ and ‘C’ list. Google’s format is simple, but also probably the best way to display information. Also Cuil might find it hard to keep their index current since their Twicler bot has ticked off so many webmasters for over a year already. Google/Yahoo/MSN might at times gobble a good amount of bandwidth, but nothing like this evil bot.
